1.) (b) Burning more calories than you consume is the only way to loose weight. It doesn’t matter where the calories come from.

2.) (b) 51 grams of fat. But it might as well be a zillion. If you eat a quarter-pounder and fries you’re eating more fat in one meal than you should be eating in an entire day.

3.) (c) 1. 5 billion pounds. Wow, that’s a lot of pesticides. About half of all the food we eat contains pesticide residue.

4.) (a) Only 16% of young kids are eating right. That’s terrible! It’s up to you as parents to make sure children are eating healthy foods.

5.) (c) Pretzel may not be the name of a Beanie Baby, but we love the cuddly soft pretzel here in Philly.

7.) (b) Frankenfoods are genetically modified foods, meaning they have been altered at the genetic level with DNA from bacteria, viruses, plants or animals. Ooh scary! About 70% of all processed foods now contain genetically engineered ingredients. Even more scary!

8.) (a) Lower cholesterol. While you won’t be getting whiter teeth or smaller feet by being a vegetarian you can lower your cholesterol and blood pressure. You’d also be cutting down on your chances of developing heart disease, diabetes and several types of cancer.
